Contemplation of mystery and reminiscence in her early large scale family portrait paintings continued in the photographic work that followed. Night Lives is a series of digital prints that demonstrate her enduring interest in memory and time. She approaches her digital work with a painter’s perspective using the technology to combine the enigmatic simplicity of the images to the dimensional ambiguity of the landscape. Employing photographic and cinematic forms, techniques, and panoramic dimensions, her images suggest an alliance of memory, space and time.
The artist has lived and worked in New York City for most of her career and now resides in the Hudson Valley.
